Private Pay/Wellness Visits

Please contact us to discuss options and availability.We provide private-pay physical therapy for individuals who are not using Medicare coverage, including those with other insurance plans or no insurance. Private-pay care may include skilled physical therapy for pain, injury, or post-operative recovery, as well as wellness care.
Starting is easy - no referral or prescription needed.
Direct Access
In California, Direct Access rules allow patients to be seen for physical therapy for up to 12 visits with no prescription. After 12 visits or 45 days (whichever is first), the MoveBetter team will work with your doctor to obtain a prescription if more visits or time is needed. For Medicare patients, while California is a direct access state, Medicare requires a physician or qualified healthcare provider to certify your physical therapy plan of care. MoveBetter will coordinate this process for you.
